CWA Participation in Moral Wednesdays Vigils Helps Save Obamacare

Evesham Township (2/7/17) - CWA members and health care advocates stood up for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or "Obamacare" by taking the fight to save health care to the district offices of Republican Congress members across New Jersey. Each Wednesday throughout February and March, CWA along with partner organizations in the NJ for Health Care coalition coordinated vigils outside the district offices of New Jersey’s five Republican Congressmen to generate grassroots pressure on them to oppose the repeal of the ACA without replacement.

The vigils continued to grow over the two months resulting in four of the five Republican Congressman announcing they would not support the Trump/Ryan replacement bill which was pulled from a vote by Ryan on March 24.
